Langner has quietly become one of En Fuego’s
mainstays since he joined the team in the fall of 2005. A versatile
player Langner mostly plays the outfield. He also plays first base
and is able to fill in at just about any infield spot if needed. He
possesses a very strong arm and a solid glove on defense in the
outfield. Offensively he can hit anywhere in the line-up and hits
for both power and average.
Langner became the 19th player in team history
to play 100 games in 2008. He holds the single game En Fuego team record with
12 RBI in a game versus the Free Agents at Ladera Ranch Fields on
February 7, 2006. Langner has won several batting titles and
team MVP awards.
With En Fuego Langner made his presence felt
immediately. In his first nine leagues he played in full-time En
Fuego went to the title game eight times winning championships five times.
In his first four tournaments En Fuego won two
tourney titles. In the two wins he earned an all-tournament
selection and took home MVP honors in the 2008 PSTS Spring Classic
in Palm Springs.
