The highly regarded slugger was long sought
after before finally joining En Fuego in January of 2000. Kerr
took over the second base job and has helped re-shape En Fuego into
the successful team it is today. Over the years he has led by
example with his hard-nosed play defensively and with his smooth
left-handed swing at the plate.
He has collected multiple batting titles and team MVP
awards. A gold glove second baseman, Kerr makes it look
easy in the field tackling a tough hop or turning two. At the
plate he is automatic with the classic left-handed stroke. On
October 3rd, 2008 Kerr became the fifth player in team history to
reach 1000 hits.
Since Kerr joined the team, his presence was
felt immediately. His high level of play sets the tone for the
rest of the ball club. With his outstanding play in the field and
his bat in the line-up he has helped lead En Fuego to raise their
overall level of play.
