Mike Lorton has been a member of En Fuego since
1996. He has put up solid numbers throughout his career
including winning a batting title. He ranks sixth all-time in club history
in homeruns.
His line drive swing along with his hustle has
enabled him to hit the ball to the gaps and leg out many doubles and
triples. Eight different seasons he has led the team in
triples. He also has the strength to hit the long ball on
occasion. Lorton twice has hit for the cycle in his En Fuego
career and multiple times has been selected to all-tournament teams.
One of the true die-hards on the team,
Mike
is constantly working on his game and hustles each and every pitch,
game, and season.
He always carries a positive attitude no matter what. Mike’s
brother Kevin is also a core member of En Fuego.
