Even
though En Fuego came up short losing by one run, Santoro in
typical fashion remained steady as ever. He collected two
hits, both doubles, scored twice and drove in three runs to
lead En Fuego.
An
original member of En Fuego, Santoro has been a large part of
En Fuego’s success and is responsible for quite a bit of the
classic moments the team has experienced over the years. To go
along with a career .630 batting average, Santoro is also the
team career leader in home runs, RBI, triples and doubles.
There is no doubt without his presence over the 500 games he
has played, En Fuego wouldn’t be who they are today. “I
can’t wait to get to 1000.” Added Santoro.
Notes:
Of all the teams En Fuego has played since their first game in
1995 only one team they have faced more than 20 times has a
winning record against them…En Fuego has a 12-14-1 record
versus Blood, Sweat, & Beers…Next in line for an En
Fuego player to reach 500 games played is Kevin
Lorton…He should reach the milestone sometime in
February 2006.
