Jackson joined the team in 2001 and has
dominated league and tournament play ever since. With a
powerful swing he is more than capable of going deep every at bat.
To go along with the power he also hits for a high average. He
has won eight batting titles and four times he has won the En Fuego
Triple Crown.
He can play any position on the field at a high
level. Mainly an outfielder he also plays the corner infield
spots well and can fill in at shortstop or second base when needed.
With good speed and a strong arm in the field opposing base runners
need to beware, he typically leads the team in outfield
assists.
In only 243 career games through 2007 Jackson
has belted 117 home runs, driven in 622 runs and owns a career
batting average of .649. He has led the team in home runs more
than ten times and has earned team MVP honors six times and
tournament MVP three times. He, along with Jason Santoro, holds the
team record for most home runs in a single season with 10. |
